Brian Dalphonse, 41, of New Hampshire, was indicted late yesterday by a Salem Superior Court Grand Jury on charges of larceny over $250 (four counts) and false entry into corporate books (three counts). Due to a conflict with the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has taken over the prosecution of the case.

A startling case from earlier this year where the CFO of a small company stole nearly $10 million over a 6 year period.  As with most fraud cases in small businesses, someone outside the company eventually discovered the theft.  The company also had to cut staff to help recover from the financial losses.
